- Post the days of the week at your calendar station. Cut the words: yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Move these words as the week goes on. Yesterday was Monday, Today is Tuesday, and Tomorrow is Wednesday. Keep reciting the days of the week with students.
- Use these strips during your small group time. Cut the strips apart and mix them up. Let the students put the day of the week in order.
- Post the strips on your word wall for students to be able to spell them correctly.
- For a fun warm-up activity, give the strips to 7 students. Have those students go to the front of the classroom to organize themselves in order of the days of the week. Make multiple copies and make groups of 7 students to organize themselves. This activity gets students up and moving around. This will help them stay engaged and learn!
