What is a Cinquain Poem? A Cinquain Poem is a verse of 5 lines that do not rhyme but follow a pattern.

I have a FREE Cinquain Poem to try! If you're teaching poems, you'll want to try this freebie. Writing Cinquain poems are fun and can be used in a variety of ways. This pack includes the pattern and an example of a Word Count Cinquain Poem. It also includes a final writing paper for students to write their poem on. Students can use the poem to write about themselves, their friends, or even a character from a book.  FREE Cinquain Poem
A Cinquain Poem follows this pattern:
Line 1 - one word (noun: title)
Line 2two words (adjectives: describe the title)
Line 3three words (verbs: actions of the title)
Line 4four word phrase (describe a feeling or statement)
Line 5one word (synonym: refer back to the title)

Free Compare and Contrast Spring Writing. Your students will love these spring writing worksheets! Students use complete sentences as they compare the two pictures. They can write about the differences or they can use the Venn Diagram to jot down some comparisons.

Did you manage to snag this FREE spring break writing I made last year? This fun little freebie will help students organize their thoughts as they write about an event from their spring break vacation. This will be a great tool to see where you need to go with your writing lessons by the end of the year.

Do your students need to work on counting by 5s, 10s, or 1s? Counting Caterpillars can help reinforce this skill. Copy, cut, and laminate the caterpillars.
